2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp baking powder

1 cup room temperature butter

3/4 cup granulated white sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

3 Tbs Sugarwood 1790 Bourbon

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

2 large eggs

10 oz of chocolate chips (or vanilla, butterscotch, or toffee chips)

Cookie Sheet + Parchment Paper

Preparation

  1. Combine and blend your dry ingredients ( flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder) in a medium bowl and set aside

  2. In a stand mixer, with the paddle attachment, place your softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar in the bowl and mix on low to medium low to cream together the ingredients.*
    * No mixer? You can certainly do this old school, and mix by hand

  3. Once the butter, sugar, and brown sugar are blended well, add the bourbon, vanilla, and eggs while the mixer is on low speed. Mix well until all are combined well.

  4. While the mixer is still on low, slowly add the bowl of dry ingredients and mix until everything is combined together well. *

  5. After shutting off the mixer, remove the paddle attachment and bowl from the mixer and fold in your chocolate chips.

  6. For larger cookies drop well-rounded tablespoons of dough on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet, two to three inches apart.

  7. Bake at 375, for 10 minutes (+ / -  a minute depending on your oven) until light brown with darker edges

  8. Remove from the oven and let sit several minutes before moving to wire racks to cool.
